SAP EWM Transformation
SAP EWM on S/4HANA - your state-of-the-art warehouse management system
If you only consider the technical point of view, the migration from your current WMS to S/4HANA is not absolutely necessary. Although SAP will stop the support for ERP/ECC at the end of 2027, it is still possible to continue using the old WM system temporarily via StRM ("Stock room management"). However, we recommend this only as a temporary solution, as you will not be able to benefit from essential advantages:
StRM is only an executable collection of some basic functions of the previous LE-WM functionality. Therefore it only has a significantly reduced range of functions.
Some central functionalities, which the previous WM provided, are completely missing under StRM, e.g. cross-docking, task & resource management, wave management, yard management and some more.
SAP WM will no longer be enhanced, while EWM will be continuously equipped with new or improved functionalities.
In conclusion, this temporary solution can therefore only be considered for small warehouses with a simple structure and processes.
Our transformation packages are based on the SAP Activate methodology and include various complex preconfigured EWM reference systems. You can rely on our many years of expertise on the way to your future-proof warehouse management system.
Your individually tailored path with retailsolutions
With SAP EWM on S/4HANA, you will benefit from the latest software from SAP, which will also be supported and further developed in the long term.
We support you with our many years of retail know-how in how to use the numerous new functionalities to significantly optimise your workflows.
With RapidRetail Logistics, we offer you modular, preconfigured add-ons that can be implemented out of the box. You decide individually - depending on the complexity of your warehouse - which system depth best suits your requirements. This helps you save important project time.
With the Activate for Retail methodology, we manage your complex IT project in a secure and efficient manner. In our agile approach, requirements are reviewed iteratively and adapted step by step.
RapidRetail basic EWM: EWM "ready to use"
Our pre-configured RapidRetail basic EWM can be used immediately as a prototype. It provides the simple implementation of the most important processes in goods receipt, goods issue & internal warehouse
Fast and straightforward realisation of the migration to the new system
Reduced integration effort as basic EWM is already included in the S4/HANA core ("embedded")
RapidRetail advanced EWM: EWM "tailor-made"
With our pre-configured reference system RapidRetail advanced EWM, we define the required functional scope of your EWM in close cooperation with you.
Working directly on the prototype system reduces project time and costs compared to time-consuming, purely theoretical blueprinting of the requirements for the new system.
Missing functionalities can be checked and added iteratively during the entire lifetime of the system.
