International Retail Forum 2026 - In the Press

On 23 and 24 June, retailsolutions invites the Retail Industry to the International Retail Forum at the b'mine Hotel at Frankfurt Airport.

On 23 and 24 June this year, the International Retail Forum will once again take place at the b'mine Hotel at Frankfurt Airport. Organised by retailsolutions, this specialist conference on digital transformation in retail is held in English and offers insights into current topics in the retail industry with a strong focus on SAP solutions and digital transformation.

The event brings together international industry representatives to discuss topics such as S/4Hana transformation projects, the impact of AI on retail and the transition to scalable public cloud architectures, and to further advance the digitalisation of retail.

The event will focus on five key topics for the industry:

  1. Store of the Future – Fashion, Grocery and Others: Whether in the food, fashion or other retail segments, innovative concepts, networked technologies and data-driven functions will define and shape the stores and shopping experiences of the future. In keeping with this theme, a visit to the Aramark S.Mart Store on the SAP campus in Walldorf is planned for the day before the event.
  2. Transformation and Processes: Holistic business development requires the optimisation and modernisation of core processes. Best practices, transformation strategies and process innovations will be used to highlight possible solutions and approaches.
  3. Data and AI – the New Gold?: The value of data and the transformative potential of artificial intelligence are increasing. Data ecosystems, machine learning and predictive analytics not only give retailers a competitive edge, but also improve their decision-making and unlock new potential throughout the company.
  4. Omnichannel and Core Merchandising - Powered by AI: AI-supported omnichannel strategies and merchandising are the future of retail. Intelligent planning, automated decision support and seamless customer journeys that connect digital and brick-and-mortar retail are therefore becoming increasingly important.
  5. Security, Architecture and Applications – Key in the New Cloud World: Modern architectural approaches and robust security practices are crucial for a well-managed cloud environment to ensure compliance, stability and performance in a rapidly evolving cloud-based landscape.

Speakers include Prof. Stephan Rüschen, Head of Business Administration and Retail at DHBW Heilbronn, specialising in food/food retail, Hans-Jörg Blaeser, Director of Technology & IT Services at Ernsting's Family, and Steve Ingram, IT Delivery Director at Card Factor. The event will be complemented by expert contributions from retailsolutions and SAP on current topics from the SAP portfolio for retail.
