The retail world met in Frankfurt

Once again this year, retailsolutions AG organised the digital transformation conference for the retail industry, the International Retail Forum, at the end of October 2023 in Frankfurt am Main in Germany. The event, attended by 185 participants from around the world, representing 46 companies from 11 countries, delved into SAP topics specifically addressing the challenges faced by the retail sector. Key industry topics such as the transition to SAP S/4HANA, the use, opportunities, and risks of artificial intelligence in retail, and possibilities for efficient process optimisation took center stage. SAP and experts from retailsolutions provided insights into the roadmap and innovative solutions from the retail portfolio.

"Similar to the previous year, the event showcased numerous customer presentations with interesting and innovative project reports on challenges and lessons learned. In addition to the S/4HANA transformation theme, a moderated roundtable took place, where participants at different stages of their transformation projects discussed their specific challenges together.", reports Florian Kraus, Partner and Head of Sales & Business Development at retailsolutions, and adds: "For the first time, we had partners such as smartShift, SNP, Neptune, gicom, and hokona participating in our event, offering their own presentations and information booths for discussions on trade-related topics."

Overall, the International Retail Forum 2023 provided ample space for conversations, networking, and personal exchanges in a relaxed atmosphere—also at two exclusive evening events in the rooftop bar of the venue with a view of the Frankfurt skyline. The next "International Retail Forum" is already in the planning stages.
